My boys never cease to amaze me. I just love them more and more each day, I am not saying that they don't challenge me, but I do love them! They each have their own personality and a smile that just melts my heart!

Where are you Christmas?
This year has been full of many wonderful surprises as well as many challenges. At this time of year, it is nice to sit back and reflect on what has happened. Are we happy with what has been accomplished or do we need to go back to the drawing board and write up new plans to get us to where we hope to be next year and choose that for ourselves.
This year Logan has accomplished many things. The biggest accomplishment, in his mommy's eyes, is potty training! He has done an awesome job and in such a short amount of time. In only a few months time, he now comes and tells Ben and I when he needs to go potty. He has an accident here and there, but for the most part, he is trained!! Yippee. Logan has also matured a little bit. He actually likes going to church and to class. Sometimes we struggle on Sundays, but he has definitely made some progress! I am reminded each and every day how strong of a child he is. Not only in stature, but strong willed too. I guess I can say he gets that from me. It can be challenging at times, but I look at it and know that he is one determined little guy that will go far!! Logan is very tender hearted too, I sometimes wonder if he is too tender hearted. I guess time will only tell. I think he gets this from his daddy. :) We Love LOGAN for who he is and know that he was sent to us for a very special purpose.
This year Quinton has just amazed me with his resilience. Quinton can take a licken' and keep on ticken'. No backing down. He will cry for a few seconds, just long enough for a hug and kiss, then be on his way. He can definitely hold his own with Logan. Quinton has a smile that melts hearts. He can get me to soften my heart in moments just by flashing that warm little smile. Quinton is also a little bit of a dare devil. When we hit the parks, he doesn't play on his age appropriate playground. He goes to the one that has the biggest slide. He will climb up all by himself and go down it too! He loves the playground and playing outdoors!! We love QUINTON oh so much!
Ben is an awesome husband and father! Ben has not only stepped up in solely taking on the money-maker position, he has excelled at it. Ben Loves his job in the ER and is loved by those he works with. I was awakened the other night at the ER when I was approached by an older lady. She asked if Ben was my husband. I said that he was. Then she proceeded that she was so very greatful for him. He took care of her sick mother that night in the ER and she was just impressed with how gentle and kind Ben was to her mother. At that moment I stopped and acknowledged Ben for being a big teddy bear! I have always known this, but sometimes we don't acknowledge those who mean the most to us enough. Ben has taken on extra shifts to be able to accomplish our goals as a family (keeping the boys out of daycare - meaning I am home with them). Ben is a very good father. He spends time with his boys when he can. He is also very good to me and lets me have my "nights out". I am thankful that he has never complained when I have stayed out a little too late either. Ben is a very wonderful husband and I am glad he is all MINE!
I have had a roller coaster of a year. I have gone from working full-time to working very part time. I love my job, but I love my family much more. I love being able to be at home with my boys. I enjoy the playdates at the park and the wonderful friends that come to play with us. I love that I have the opportunity to just leave town on the drop of a hat and spend time with family. I am greatful that I have the opportunity to get out of the house a day or two a week and work. Work has taken on a whole new meaning for me. I have come to the point of "choosing" work and it has made a world of difference for me. I guess if I am the only one who notices it, that is okay. I am currently serving at the secretary in Relief Society at church. A challenging calling, but I have to admit that I have grown while serving the sisters in our ward. I know I need to choose this calling and take it on fully. I am working on the choosing part of it right now. I am very thankful for the opportunities that have presented themselves this passing year.
I heard a phrase that was just what I needed to hear the other night. The speaker said you will never be happy with your life, marriage, job, callings, etc. unless you take it on fully. I have thought about that phrase over and over again. This next year, I am going to take on fully my life, marriage, family, job, and calling. I know that with this different outlook on happiness, our family will be more fully blessed. With that in mind, I bring you back to my title, Where are you Christmas? Sometimes we can fall in to a darker state of mind and bury our feelings love and affinity for ourselves and others. If we can find the light of Christ and acknowledge his sacrifice for each of us, we will find that Christmas is in our Hearts! I am greatful for Christ sacrifice for each and everyone of us. I am thankful that I am a child of God and I have been blessed with that knowledge. I am greatful for the family that I have and that they love me so very much. I love each and everyone of you! Thank you for being my friends!
